Huge Beauty Haul

I am so excited about all of the new beauty and home items I have bought over the past month!

Some of the things I have bought I have been lusting after for absolutely ages so here they are (I know its crazy but it is from a birthday voucher) :

DSCN0319 DSCN0321 DSCN0322.JPG

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick in shade 42- This is a beautiful lip stick formula oil in stick formula and is amazingly moisturising, lovely nudey shade perfect and smells gorgeous!

MAC Ruby Woo (Retro Matt) Lip stick- This is a classic red lip and by god does it stay on! This is amazing totally love it. This formula is a little drying, so I would recommend a lip balm application before you wear it but it does defiantly stay on.

MAC Viva Glam 2 (Satin) Lipstick- This is a really good your lips but better colour.  The formula is beautiful, really opaque and shiny.  With a really good wear time too. The Plus??? All of the money goes to charity when you buy this lipstick too, Phenomenal!!

For all of my pale girls out there I feel your pain about finding a great matching foundation. I recently found out that my skin is only 1 shade above being classed as albino :O how crazy is that? But anyway this has you covered!

MAC Studio Fix Foundation (NW 13) This is a lovely medium/full coverage foundation with a satin finish.  It covers blemish perfectly and is truly beautiful.  My only bug bear is that there isn’t a pump provided (Need to invest in one!)

MAC Pro Long wear concealer (NC 15) This is fantastic for covering blemishes and under eye circles with a slight yellowish tinge to cover all of the purple undertones in the skin, truly beautiful! and really long lasting.

I have also bought the newly formulated Revlon Colour stay foundation, this is in the dry/normal skin formula, with a pump.  I really enjoy this as it is a very full coverage moisturising foundation, which I love! The great thing about it  though isn’t it doesn’t leave the skin oily at all which is a great thing!

MAC Mineralised Skin Finish (Lightscapade) This is an AMAZING highlighter for all pale girls, it is a really natural highlight with a light pear shimmer but is easily buildable.

I have also done a bit of a homey haul which was great fun!

I decided to try some new candle scents as opposed to my normal sweet vanilla scents (which I still love)

Primark patchouli and amber- This has a lovely fresh scent which is neutral but doesn’t have an overally floral scent.

Primark Strawberry Milkshake candle- this is fun and sweet smelling, i love the way this burns as it looks like a flower through the glass.

Floral candles- I got these as a present from one of my best friends Helen (Late Birthday Present, as I was still at uni for my Birthday)

Blue Fairy lights- These were also a gift from Helen Love them! They are so cool and also flash as well as just light, so cool.

I also bough the wall decor from Primark Home as they was cool and went with the new themes of my bedroom at home.

Pink fluffy cushion- Loving this so soft and cuddly, really great and matches my room.

Might seem a bit random this time but I am loving trying all of the new makeup and have been been reorganising my room

February Beauty Haul and First impressions

New beauty products on the market!

When having a nosey around in Super Drug, I found some amazing new products and I decided to give them a try, so here is a haul and some first impressions.

Firstly Bourjois, have released a new foundation and concealer, called City Radiance. I really have enjoyed the colouring of this foundation as with many of the Bourjois foundations, however I find on my skin the  foundation goes patchy quite quickly, which isn’t great, I combated this by first applying a primer and then setting it with a powder and it seemed to work better however still not a fave.

However the new Bourjois Concealer-Radiance revealed, is fantastic.  It really brightens under the eyes and is a great subtle highlight.  It’s really good, not too yellowing and  like a dream in any form of application.

Next is Collection Lasting Finish Concealer, I love this concealer and this is a repurchase, I think I’ve gone through at least four tubes of this concealer.  I love the way it covers my blemishes and it works well on dark circles which is great! Defiantly what appeals to me as well as the brilliancy of the product is the price, only £4.19 per tube . A brilliant bargain!

And lastly the new Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara.  This mascara is fantastic. It really builds volume and encourages curl and length.  The wand made me fairly septic, however I  have to say this is one that really surprised me,  Its really cheap and is quickly become a favourite.  And is currently is on offer at Super Drug

Thanks LJ xx

January Favourites

Favourites Time!

My monthly Faves!

This month has gone so quickly at uni and it has been a whirl of me trying  a range of new products, rediscovering old favourites and exploring different things! I am really excited to share with you guys my favourites and please do let me know what your favourites are too

Base Faves!

My top Primer was Soap and Glory’s- One heck of a blot primer.  It is a perfect base that sinks in really quickly, it minimisers the appearance of pores and helps foundation last for ages.

My top Foundation of the month was Bourjois new Air Mat foundation.  I found this foundation to be really long lasting and  high coverage, it applies really well with a sponge, brush or fingers. LOVE IT!

Last my favourite concealer was Rimmel London- Wake me up Concealer.  This is really nice for under the eyes as it brightens the area and lasts really well on me when set with powder.  I love the appearance of this product and will always have it as a staple.

Face Faves

I have been loving Sleek’s blusher in Rose Gold, this is my rediscovery for the month, I love the colour of this blush and the wear time it is simply perfect and a really good dupe for Narzs Orgasm blush. A staple and will always love it!

I also love Soap and Glory’s Highlighter Hocus Focus.  It is a beautiful natural highlight with a pearly sheen,  lasts all day and is really pretty.

Lastly as a new discovery this month is L’Oreal’s Infallible Face mist.  I had never tries a setting spray before this one and I love it! It really sets make up into place and gives the skin a matt feel- Brilliant!

Eyes Faves!

I love Soap and Glory Lid stuff Eye pallet in What’s Nude. Is a perfect pallet for an every day neutral eye look and I find myself reaching for it the most.  It has buttery shadows that blend really easily. Simple and lovely!

Maybelline master precise eye liner in black, this makes eye liner so easy the precise nib helps you get as close to your water line as possible, it is a must for glasses wearers like myself, saves so much time.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. This mascara is excellent, it gives everything you can want with a mascara, length, volume and curl. It is easy to apply and a brill affordable drug store option.

The L’Oreal Brow artist plumper in blonde is amazing! I really struggle to find brow products that work for fair blondes like myself.  This is so easy to apply and looks effortless.

Lip Faves!

I have really been into my nudey pinks this month.

My favourite lipstick is Revlon’s super  Lustrous lipstick in Pink in the afternoon (Crème formula) .  It is the perfect ‘your lips but better’ colour and feels so comfortable on the lips- I love this formula of lipstick and want to try more I highly recommend them!

I have also been loving NYX Soft matt lip cream in Pink haze. It is very comfortable for a matt liquid lipstick, which I find to be unusual.  Also the wear time is good with them.  And it might sound silly, but I love the way they smell- like cakes

My Fave lip gloss has been Tanya Burr Lip gloss in Crème Brulè. This is a very simple gloss, easy to wear and really comfortable in a soft muted pink colour. (From the advent calender)

My lip balm of choice has been EOS Lip balm in Coconut milk. it is really comfortable and moisturising and I love to use this is a night time/ cold weather lip balm.

And that is my January favourites 2016.  Please feel free to leave comment on your favourites, and give me some suggestions to try.

Thanks guys LJ x

Tanya Burr Advent Calender review!

An Amazing product!

This year one of my favourite You-tubers Tanya Burr released an amazing Christmas collection, including her affordable advent calender.  As someone who has never had a beauty advent calender before I really wanted to try one.

The design was amazing, really Christmassy and cute.  The only bug bare I had with the calender was the packaging falling apart, with the doors falling off really easily.

However the products completely made up for the doors falling off.  It included a range of lip glosses, loose eye shadows, nail polishes, eye lashes, a mirror and two nail files. I have to say all of the products were amazing, really opaque colours, that had a really good wear time.

The lip glosses are hands down my favourite thing from the Advent Calender. The are beautiful.  I love the range of colours a pretty nude, bright pink and a purple red.  They smell amazing, like sweets and feel very comfortable on the lips, not in anyway sticky.

Overall the calender is fantastic! Tanya Burr has also brought out a permanent range of beauty products which are available at Superdrug, including her Lip glosses, Nail polishes and Lashes.  I highly recommend  them for a cheap but beautiful make up option.
